The Countdown is On: Dolphin Parade Auction Approaches!

ree

The countdown is on! There are just a few days left to explore the Dolphin Discovery Trail 2025 before the pod swims off to their next adventure.

Since the launch earlier this summer, the 62 beautifully decorated dolphins sponsored by local businesses, schools and community groups have been brightening streets, beaches and spaces across Guernsey, all in aid of Autism Guernsey and the GSPCA.

The response has been incredible. More than 1,000 islanders and visitors have taken part in the trail, enjoying the hunt while discovering each unique dolphin design. We are hugely grateful to the artists, sponsors and community members who have made this event such a success.

But time is running out! The dolphins will begin to be collected from their locations from 1st September, so make sure you find your favourites before then.  They will then feature at Seafront Sunday on 14th September ahead of the Grand Auction on 17th September. More details on tickets and viewing times for the Dolphins to be released soon.

How to Place a Pre-Bid

If you’ve already spotted a dolphin you’d like to give a forever home, you don’t have to wait until auction night to place your bid. Pre-bidding is simple:

  1. Browse the dolphins and find your favourite at: www.dolphindiscoverytrail.gg

  2. Email steve@gspca.org.gg with:

    • Your name, email and telephone number

    • The Number and Name of your chosen dolphin (and sponsor if possible)

    • Your maximum bid (bids start at £500)

  3. Let Steve know if you also plan to attend the auction in person.

Reserve bids will be handled by a designated person at the auction, bidding on your behalf. From next week, bids will also be visible on the website.

For Autism Guernsey, initiatives like the Dolphin Parade are about more than just colour and creativity, they are essential to our continued success. Demand for our services grows every year, and we simply couldn’t continue to provide the support individuals and their families need without the generosity of the island community.

The Dolphin Parade has been a wonderful example of Guernsey coming together for a cause, and the upcoming auction is a chance to make a lasting difference while taking home a unique piece of art.
